The far northeast of Slovenia, across the river Mura, is divided to the northern hilly region called Goričko and the flat landscapes of Ravensko (the flatlands) and Dolinsko (the lowlands). This area was once covered by the Pannonian Sea, which left fertile soil with excellent conditions for farming. Local cuisine, hot springs, as well as young, curious and very hospitable locals create excellent conditions for fun to be enjoyed by modern, active aficionados of everything that is good.
Immediately after arriving to the hotel you will sense the warmth of the locals. Their kind words and warm smile will open doors to the wonderful three-day indulgence. Exploring the surrounding you will discover many interesting things, while relaxing moments by the hotel pool or at the wellness will rest your body. The region offers a lot, from the floating mill on the river Mura and the island of love, the largest baroque castle in Slovenia, to architectural masterpieces of Jože Plečnik. In the afternoon or in the evening you will drive not far to the restaurant Rajh, where you will be served a 5-course tasting menu. On the third day you can go swimming or perhaps visit a local attraction on your way home, such as the Vinarium tower or the Expano adventure park in Murska Sobota. You can also opt to explore the beautiful hills of Jeruzalem and prolong the culinary experience.
The hotel, with its star-studded identity card, also has an enviable location, just along the carefully tended golf course. It includes its own pool complex, and through the covered hallways you can even reach the joint thermal complex. With the Thai massage center and baths, complete relaxation is just a stone’s throw away.
The hotel pool complex includes the indoor pool, two outdoor pools, one of which is filled with black thermal mineral water, indoor children’s pool, outdoor children’s pool, whirlpool and pool with natural spring water. There is also a world of saunas with a Kneipp pool. In 2017, the indoor part of the complex was further renovated, especially the large central pool, the children’s pool with playground equipment, massage pools and pool with black thermal mineral water. The bravest visitors can challenge themselves with Aqualoop waterslide and Kamikaze freefall waterslide.
The hotel has a total of 122 spacious air-conditioned rooms with a minibar, LCD TV, all with a balcony or a terrace and free WiFi. In some rooms you are also in for a special surprise; you can enjoy a bath with the familiar “black” thermal mineral water, some also have a massage shower.
The Rajh restaurant has been on the scene for four generations. From the beginnings in a small village store and inn that served cider, through fried chicken, fish from the Slavonia region, hearty minestrone, Prekmurje flat breads, to sandwich with home-made salami. They have been spoiling their guests on the current location since 1969, and in 2005 they turned a new chapter when the management of the restaurant was taken over by the fourth generation. They say that this prolongs and enriches the family tradition, the new rejuvenates the old and the young listens to the experienced. Tanja and Damir decided to preserve the tradition but giving it a modern twist. They preserved the dishes that were traditionally cooked in Prekmurje, slightly reformulating them, giving them lightness, freshness, allure. Modern culinary trends have been adapted to homeliness and traditional character of the Rajh kitchen. Local producers of foodstuffs and food products present the backbone of each of traditional or revamped Prekmurje dishes, but now each ingredient on your plate has a name, origin, heritage and a story behind it.

Considering that he was born into a restaurant family, his first steps in the professional kitchen began already in the elementary school. After completing the secondary catering school, he started working in Vienna at the Fabios restaurant and in Steirereck, gaining a lot of experiences, order and discipline. He felt the need to go back, to go home to be able to create in the home restaurant and further upgrade the “flavour” and knowledge of his great-grandmother. She gave him a lot of guidance, so he now likes to explore old recipes and tries to update them, refresh them and offer them to guests in a new attire. He tries to create light, fresh, youthful and traditional dishes, but with a touch of modern spirit. He wants to connect with local producers of foodstuff, also with organic producers to jointly create an excellent story of their environment and pass it over to his guests. His works and knowledge were recognized by Gault&Millau as he awarded the title Young Talent of 2021 and three Chef Hats, while Michelin awarded the Bib Gourmand 2020 award to the restaurant.
