The village Olimje is a proud winner of the Golden medal at the Entente Florale Europe competition, which puts emphasis on healthy social and cultural development, thereby facilitating gardening, tourism and well-tended surroundings, thereby officially becoming one of the most beautiful villages in Europe. Castles and monasteries add to the rich cultural heritage, and Kozjansko is also home to wine growers, with sun-bathed hills being well known among lovers of excellent cuisine.
OVERVIEW
With its excellent wellness offer, the spa will certainly impress all visitors looking for relaxation. Because the Kozjansko and Obsotelje regions are so abundant in rare plants and cultural heritage, they enjoy the status of a biosphere reserve under the protection of UNESCO, where the emphasis is on the symbiosis between people and environment. Visitors will be able to enjoy the beautiful hiking trips, visit castles, convents, old pharmacies, breweries, local farms, breathe in fresh air, feel the purity of the surrounding nature and come across the rich cultural heritage on every step. You can choose between the forest trails that wind beneath the shadows of mighty treetops or between the trails that lead from a story to story – from love-stricken counts and mischiefs of the bandit Guzaj, to passionate winegrowers and chocolate-makers. But by no means should you miss a walk to the Tower of health and joy on Rudnica. It stands at the top of the Silavc hill, and a winding staircase takes you to the 35.2 m high platform. And from there… a magical view that extends far beyond the surrounding hills, into the interior of this beautiful land.

Hotel Breza ****
Hotel Breza is located in the heart of Terme Olimia, in the direct vicinity of Podčetrtek and Olimje. It is a modern hotel that combines activities for health with pleasure and active rest. The health center boasts traditional and modern health programmes. The hotel also has a thermal pool connected through the hallway with the completely renovated Family Wellness Termalija, which is particularly appealing. Termalija Family Fun is primarily intended for families, while Termalija Relax is for everyone who are looking for rest and peace.
The Terme Olimia complex also includes the prestigious Wellness Orhidelia and Spa Armonia center at the Wellness hotel Sotelia. The thermal park Aqualuna is essentially a summer water amusement park with 3000 m² of water surfaces and the largest number of water attractions with as much as 12 slides. You also have a free admission to the Terme Tuhelj water park, which is about 28 km away.

Gourmet experience: Restavracija Amon
The restaurant Amon is furnished in rustic style of a wine cellar, with genuine winegrowing cultural heritage, which is very rich around Virštanj. It offers its guests a wide range of original culinary delights and in-house wine. It is a certified organic restaurant and the first eco-certified restaurant in Slovenia. They put a large emphasis on the preparation of healthy, organic dishes. The Amon farm also holds the eco-farming certificate so the cooks get their ingredients straight from the garden.
Their dishes are highly seasonal and prepared on the basis of old, traditional recipes. They are known for their homemade mushroom soup and “prežganka” (browned soup with eggs), and their homemade pâtés and cured meat products are also extra delicious. They are famous for the “vinolada” spread made from wine and fruit, and you will certainly lick your fingers after trying their venison, lamb, duck and chicken roasted in open fire stove for a particularly delicious taste. They have received numerous recognitions and award for their achievements in culinary and catering competitions, such as the “tourist carnation” award and the Maison de Qualite award.
